With the high water conditions on the Tuscarawas
River, the TCBA was forced to do something that we hadn't done in a few
years, we held a club tournament on Tappan Lake. The weather was warm
and breezy with the threat of a thunderstorm but thankfully the heavy
rains held off until just after weigh ins. I think the channel cats
were on spawn but a few guys managed to bring back a couple of NICE fish.
Brock Sentz took First Place and Big Fish with a 17 pound 5 ounce Flathead landing him $80.00 in total. Second Place and $40.00 was collected by his cousin Dakota Sentz with a Channel Cat weighing 7 pounds 13 ounces. For the third tournament in a row, there was no odd fish turned in.
The Huff family fought amongst themselves for Third through Fifth Place. Don Huff came out on top with one Channel weighing 4 pounds 9 ounces. He was followed closely by Brian and Renee who each had 2 small Channels weighing 3 pounds 15 ounces and 3 pounds even respectively.
Thanks to all who attended. The numbers are always down when we are forced to move a tournament to the lake and I'm sure the weather forecast may have kept some people indoors. Regardless, I think everyone who fished had a great time!
