I've been away from the club and ALL the related sites for a while now. Sorry if this caused any inconvenience. I can't say how involved I will be this year but will try to keep the site updated to some extent. I have posted up the new schedule for 2012. I know there will be some changes to the points system this year and the fees will be going down some. I will try to make the changes as I find out about them. Also, keep an eye on the Tusc. River Stillwater Creek forum for the changes. There ... Continue reading ...

Benefit Tournament!!
We will be holding a Benefit Tournament for Tanner Stine on June 18, 2011... Tanner was an up and coming 14yo motocross star who passed in a tragic mini bike accident in his back yard. He was Shannon Stine's younger brother. For those that do not know, Shannon is Rocky "Rockbass" Moore's fiance. Everyone in the club knows Rocky, and many know Shannon and/or Tanner. All proceeds from the tournament will go to the family to help with the funeral and medical expenses. $10 entry - Registration will... Continue reading ...

Finally got to fish the river! Water levels were still high but not flooded for a change. Had some decent temps but the rain would not hold off. Despite the weather and water levels, we did have some nice fish turned in. First place went to Brian Huff for a nice 5 fish stringer weighing in at 23lbs1oz total. KC Knight took Second place with 3 fish weighing 14lbs12oz followed by Dwain Hall's 4 fish stringer weighing 14lbs11oz. Zach Leach won the Big Fish pot with a 7lb7oz Channel Cat. Zach also... Sorry for the delay in posting. For the third tournament in a row this year, the rains and water levels forced us to the lake. It was a nice night to be out fishing though! The temps stayed comfortable and the precipitation was not a factor for a change. We had 11 anglers show up and 9 of them brought fish to weigh in. First place went to Brian Huff with a 5 fish limit weighing a total of 13lbs12oz. KC Knight got Second place with a 5 fish stringer that weighed 11lbs13oz. Big fish honors went t... April 30, 2011 Tournament MOVED!!
As much as I hate to say it, the tournament will be held at Tappan Lake again. With all the rain, the river just will not drop to a fishable level and stay there. Add to that the muddy banks and cold water temps and you have a recipe for possible disaster. Just a reminder, this is a double points tourney! Good luck everyone!! Continue reading ...

We were once again forced to fish Tappan Lake. The river levels were looking promising until the rain from Friday night and Saturday morning started to settle in. Within a few hours time the river came up 2 feet and with muddy banks and cold water temps., safety had to be considered. The weather was a little more cooperative during the tournament with temps. in the low to mid 40's most of the night and a pretty steady drizzle with some occasional hard showers. We still had 12 people enter the... Continue reading ...

We had some pretty rough weather for the season opener. The temps were in the low to mid 30's all night with scattered rain (snow?) showers. There were 10 participants that showed to brave the conditions and only 4 caught fish large enough to weigh in. First place went to Jeff Huff with an impressive 4 fish stringer and total weight of 8lbs 5oz. Second place and Big Fish both went to Brian Huff who found a nice 4lb 1oz channel cat. Floyd Rennicker pulled third place with 2 fish weighing a tota... Continue reading ...

2011 Schedule
It was brought to my attention that the Classic date was posted wrong. I had posted it as Oct. 30th which is a Sunday. The correct date is Saturday, October 29th, 2011. I have corrected the schedule page. If you printed off the pdf version of the schedule, the dates should all be correct. It appears I simply had a typo on the site itself. Sorry for any confusion and THANKS to Tyler for bringing it to our attention! Continue reading ...
2011 Prizes
What types of prizes would you like to see given away at the end of the year??
Obviously, this will have to be within reason as the club can't afford
custom rods, big reels, etc. Those will be given away if we are
fortunate enough to have someone donate them. I'm looking at the smaller
prizes. Last year, we gave away the donated prizes and cash but I would
like to see us get some prizes together this year and want to make sure
they are things that will be used and not just sit in som... Continue reading ...
New Photos Added
I've added all the photos I have which date back to the 2007 season on flickr.com. There are flash badges for each season on the photos page. If you click on a photo on a badge, it will take you to that photo on flickr in a new window. Due to it opening a new window, if you have a pop-up blocker installed and running on your computer there is a good chance it will block the window. Check up by your address bar and your explorer should give you options of what you would like to do. Continue reading ...

It was a nice night to be out fishing even though it did get a bit chilly after dark. We had quite a few nice stringers turned in along with a very nice Flathead. Once again, mother nature was not being very cooperative. Temperature wise it was a nice night to be out but the rain started right at 6pm. Had a few light drizzles moments but for the most part it rained pretty hard and steady for the first 2-1/2 hours of the tournament. Despite the weather, we still had 9 entries. We had 12 entries and 9 of them brought fish back to weigh in. 1st Place was Brian Huff with 3 fish totaling 15lbs 1oz followed by his brother Mike Huff who also had 3 fish. The 2nd place stringer weighed in at 13lbs 1oz. Chuck Hart won the big fish pot with a nice 6lb 10oz Channel Cat that was 1 of 3 fish to land him 3rd place with a weight of 12lbs 10oz. Well, what can we say.... Another weather ridden tournament. Mother nature decided we should start fishing with temps in the low 90's and then blessed us with cooler weather toward evening. Unfortunately, the cooler temps came with a price! The thunderstorms moved in just before 10:00 and soaked just about everyone and everything. We had 12 entries and 9 of them came back to weigh ins. 7 of which had fish and the other 2 were passengers that didn't have a choice! Taking first place with a 5 fi... Continue reading ...

First place paid out $66.00 and second $44.00. Don Huff took the $22.00 big fish pot with a nice 6lbs12oz channel cat. Once again, there was... Continue reading ...

Sorry for the delay on the results. Got a lot going on right now and it's hard to always keep track of what I've gotten done!
The weather started out good for this weeks
tournament but a little too hot at somewhere close to 90 degrees. Then around 10:00 we got
hit with a thunderstorm that tested everyone's
endurance for sure. Thankfully, the storm was short lived for most that I talked to. It only lasted about 15 minutes where I was fishing. Even with the storms, we had a few nice stringer... Continue reading ...

With the high water conditions on the Tuscarawas
River, the TCBA was forced to do something that we hadn't done in a few
years, we held a club tournament on Tappan Lake. The weather was warm
and breezy with the threat of a thunderstorm but thankfully the heavy
rains held off until just after weigh ins. I think the channel cats
were on spawn but a few guys managed to bring back a couple of NICE fish.

The night started out pretty hot. I believe it was around 85 degrees at the start of the tourney and the sun was fierce. After the sun went down, it was a beautiful night. Tappan Lake Tournaments?
We have started to discuss holding some other Tappan Lake Big Channel tournaments. This is partially at the request of the Ohio Chapter of the NAFC. The other reason is simply that we had fun fishing the lake for the Jim Corey benefit tournament. The NAFC Ohio Chapter will be holding one of its gatherings at Tappan Lake this year and have asked us to put another tournament together for that weekend. The date is not set in stone yet that I am aware but unless there are conflicts, the tournamen... Continue reading ...

It was a nice evening/night to be out cattin'. Temps were in the upper 60's most of the night with a slight breeze and an occasional shower. The showers weren't hard or long lasting, just enough to let you know mother nature was aware we were outside. The bite unfortunately seemed to be tough for such a nice night. The number of entries were down, probably due to there being 2 - 3 other catfish tournaments being held, but out of 9 entries, there were only 10 fish turned in. First place and $54... winds and we still had a decent turnout and some really big fish turned

boats allowed! It was put on to raise money to help Darlene at

The forecast was for scattered thunderstorms but fortunately, we were spared. It turned out to be a good night for fishing as far as the weather was concerned. The bite, on the other hand, did not seem to cooperate with most of our anglers. We had 14 people enter and only had 4 come back to weigh ins with fish. Next tourney....
The next tournament is this Saturday, April 17, and the weather forecast is, in one word, COLD. Looking to be a high around 50 to 55 degrees dropping possibly all the way down to a bone chilling 35. Had a nice turn out with 19 paid entries. The weather tried to cooperate by blowing the rain past us but the wind forgot to stop! It was 70 degrees, overcast, and windy at the start of the tourney and dropped down to about 48 degrees by weigh in time. Colder than they were forecasting but still not a bad night to be cattin'. We had 8 people turn in a total of 13 fish. Pretty good considering the bite was still kind of slow. Just the early season or did the overcast windy conditions have a pla... Continue reading ...
Weather forecast for April 3rd
