2012 Updates!

Posted by Joe Brown on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, In : General Information
I've been away from the club and ALL the related sites for a while now. Sorry if this caused any inconvenience. I can't say how involved I will be this year but will try to keep the site updated to some extent.

I have posted up the new schedule for 2012. I know there will be some changes to the points system this year and the fees will be going down some. I will try to make the changes as I find out about them. Also, keep an eye on the Tusc. River Stillwater Creek forum for the changes. There ...

April 30, 2011 Tournament MOVED!!

Posted by Joe Brown on Saturday, April 30, 2011, In : General Information
As much as I hate to say it, the tournament will be held at Tappan Lake again. With all the rain, the river just will not drop to a fishable level and stay there. Add to that the muddy banks and cold water temps and you have a recipe for possible disaster.

Just a reminder, this is a double points tourney! Good luck everyone!!

2011 Schedule

Posted by Joe Brown on Sunday, January 30, 2011, In : General Information
It was brought to my attention that the Classic date was posted wrong. I had posted it as Oct. 30th which is a Sunday. The correct date is Saturday, October 29th, 2011. I have corrected the schedule page. If you printed off the pdf version of the schedule, the dates should all be correct. It appears I simply had a typo on the site itself. Sorry for any confusion and THANKS to Tyler for bringing it to our attention!

2011 Prizes

Posted by Joe Brown on Sunday, January 9, 2011, In : General Information
What types of prizes would you like to see given away at the end of the year??

Obviously, this will have to be within reason as the club can't afford custom rods, big reels, etc. Those will be given away if we are fortunate enough to have someone donate them. I'm looking at the smaller prizes. Last year, we gave away the donated prizes and cash but I would like to see us get some prizes together this year and want to make sure they are things that will be used and not just sit in som...

New Photos Added

Posted by Joe Brown on Friday, December 17, 2010, In : General Information
I've added all the photos I have which date back to the 2007 season on flickr.com. There are flash badges for each season on the photos page. If you click on a photo on a badge, it will take you to that photo on flickr in a new window. Due to it opening a new window, if you have a pop-up blocker installed and running on your computer there is a good chance it will block the window. Check up by your address bar and your explorer should give you options of what you would like to do.

Posted by Joe Brown on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, In : General Information
There is a possibility that the June 12, 2010 tournament will be moved to Tappan Lake due to high water conditions. We must think of everyone's safety first. We will be closely monitoring the weather and water levels this week and have a final decision by Friday night. I will do my best to get it posted on here if it is moved. Thank you!

Next tourney....

Posted by Joe Brown on Thursday, April 15, 2010, In : General Information
The next tournament is this Saturday, April 17, and the weather forecast is, in one word, COLD. Looking to be a high around 50 to 55 degrees dropping possibly all the way down to a bone chilling 35. Haven't seen any rain forecasted tonight although they were calling for some earlier in the week. I would recommend some warm weather gear and possibly the wet weather gear just in case. I have seen reports that the Flatheads are starting to bite so might be something to think about. Location and ...

Weather forecast for April 3rd

Posted by Joe Brown on Friday, April 2, 2010, In : General Information
First tournament of the year is tomorrow. Looks like the weather will be somewhat cooperative. Checked 2 or 3 forecasts and all are calling for about the same. High around 80 by 5pm and a low of 47. Thankfully they say we wont hit the low until around 7am. Calling for around 55 at midnight for our weigh in. Now, the bad news. Everyone is calling for somewhere between showers and isolated thunderstorms. The only upside to this, is the rain should hit between 4pm and 6pm. I would still advise b...

Just around the corner....

Posted by Joe Brown on Monday, March 29, 2010, In : General Information
Well, it is that time of year. The weather is starting to break, the water is warming, and the fish are becoming active. The first catfish tournament is coming up fast. April 3rd will be here before we know it. Hope to see all of the regulars there. It is a double points tournament and this early in the year, the weather tends to be unpredictable as do the fish. Good luck and tight lines to all!
